Progression is an aesthetic and conceptual response to the Jessie Ball DuPont architecture (located in downtown Jacksonville), exploring the reinterpretation of mid-century design elements in a contemporary context.
The sculpture is created from starting on either end with mid-century design elements. Then, the form digitally progresses towards a center that projects forward and breaks the confines of the space. The new form is both traditional and contemporary.
The project will be executed in powder coated aluminum and will be installed in December 2019.
